Two precocious 10 year olds scheme to get their divorced parents fall in love with one another in this charming romantic comedy. Young filmmaker Lily is shooting her latest movie on a beach in San Diego when she happens across Pepin, a friendly musician from Mexico who is just her age. The more time they spend talking, the more Lily and Pepin realize they want the exact same thing out of life - for their divorced parents to fall in love and be happy again. Before long, they've concocted an elaborate scheme to coax Lily's mother and Pepin's father into a "spontaneous" meeting. Though executing their plan isn't nearly as easy as Lily and Pepin first thought, it soon starts to look like all of their hard work will pay off when their lonely parents begin to get that old familiar sparkle in their eyes.
